Rick Summer Droit has performed across the U.S. at festivals, coffee shops, colleges, clubs & other venues, vividly blending Acoustic Texas Blues, Folk Rock, Indie Pop and Americana arriving at style all his own.
Droit is headlining more and more shows, but has also opened for such artists as Peter Rowan, Nanci Griffith, Still On the Hill, Jack Hardy, Nathan McEuen, The Derailers, Chris Chandler, Anne Feeney, Georgy Rock and others.
He is currently working on a new CD with several special guests including
Sara Hickman (Texas State Musician for 2010) ,
Christopher Yarrow (multi-instrumentalist and son of Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary) ,
Kristin DeWitt, Warren Hood, Brian Standefer, Laura Freeman and several others.., the disc is being recorded in Austin by the great Mark Hallman who has produced Gold albums for Ani Difranco, Carole King and others,
Tentative release date is Summer 2012
