FiXation 29
NEWS
FX 29 has taken quite a "180", for the better of course! With the departure of Dennis and Paul {bass and guitar}, Danny Orlando has turned FiXation 29 into an overwhelming bundle of surprises. FiXation 29 is now solely headed by Danny, who recently self-recorded and produced a 13-track album entitled "Musical Acrobatics" that is truly unbelievable... Listen for yourself to the songs "Taken", "Sleek Phasing" and "Bottled Energy"!!!!!!

FiXation 29 represents a new movement in music that combines the flavorful fast-paced grooves of rave, techno, hip-hop, and rap mixes combined with flaming guitar-rock. This music is truly undescribable. You just have to listen for yourself.
Why this name?
Danny: When leading FiXation 29 as a group, I came up with the name because the music was often described as being a "FiXation". The name FiXation seemed somewhat bland, so I added my lucky number on... Nothing fancy, just a bit of creativity I guess. It was a good choice though because the name really seems to catch on fast.
Do you play live?
Danny: Yes I have put together a band to play live with, and the shows promise to be an even greater experience than before. The group includes the ever-so-lovable drummer of the old FiXation 29, Corky Vaia, who is dying to get back on stage and be a nutcase once again... As if he isn't already.
If you make it big..?
Danny: I'm not sure how you would define "making it big", as that's kind of vague, but I guess I would feel as if I accomplished my goals... In addition, I would most likely immediately set new ones, as that is just the way I am. I don't think I've ever been just satisfied with something I've done. I never look back, only forward.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its great for publicity. I encourage any striving artists to use it as their number one resource, as it has been so for me for quite awhile.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course... As a matter of fact, in addition to M.A.C.E. Music I have spoken in recent months to several labels.
Band History:
Well, I only started this merely one year ago this month {August}, but so much has happened that I could probably write enough books on my story up until now to fill up my ever-so-empty bookshelf. The most important thing is that I now stand very strongly as an independent artist that is bound for the top... and soon.
Your influences?
That's really tough, I'm into absolutely everything. Most impotantly, the music combines hard rock, with rave, techno, and hip-hop mixes, and there are a lot of effects involved, but not to an extent that would be over-doing it.
Favorite spot?
Chicago, the one and only Windy City
Equipment used:
In my recently recorded album, I really used the latest computer software to my advantage, which proved to be very beneficial. I guess in the midst of all of it I turned into kind of a technology-geek. Anyway, I used a lot of Roland gear for the Hip-Hop stuff, but moreso I like to use keyboard sound modules such as the Proteus 2000 or the Yamaha EX5. I only use 7-string guitars made by Ibanez, and play thru Crate and Marshall Amps. The drum kits were so numerous in this recording, that I couldn't even begin to start shooting them off... Just mostly Roland, as their drum sounds tend to be the best.
Anything else...?
The music speaks for itself... Enjoy.
