Hailing from Bayonne, NJ (across the Hudson river from lower Manhattan), 24th Street DJ lays down simple yet raw and energy-packed techno tracks reminiscent of late 80's/ early 90's New York clubs such as Limelight, Red Zone, Tunnel, Mars and Save the Robots. Even if you're too young to remember some of the vibrant club personas such as Astro Earl, Kenny Kenny, Walt Paper, Clara the Chicken, or James St. James, you'll feel like you're caught up in the mayhem of the dance floor at Limelight in a bygone era. Influences include Paul Oakenfold, David Morales, Louie DeVito, Sasha, John Digweed, Armand Van Helden, Underworld, Moby, Fatboy Slim, Kraftwerk, and the Pet Shop Boys, to name a few. 24th Street DJ focuses on creating powerful, engaging music, rather than trying to copy what's "hot" this week. Although "Profound Renaissance" is 24th Street DJ's first single release, you can expect more intense, undulating rhythms to transport you back to the days of NYC clubbing glory.

Haven't played live yet, I've been busy in the studio.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
