(9/13/06) 800 The Jewell is getting ready to release his second album entitled, "8thooven" on Sonic wave International. The album will be out this Fall (Spring of 07') and has already been noted as a banger (Say's numerous media outlet's nationally)!!! 800 The Jewell has began to impact the world!!!! His freshman, debut album, "Only N' Colorado", was listed on the 2005 Billboards New Release charts(1st quarter). He was amazed to see that he had a vh1.com(search: 800 the Jewell) page. He is currently was recently consider for a Grammy Nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance (www.sonicwaveintl.com) from his parent label Sonic Wave International, the same label that signed Knoc Turn 'Al. He also has his first video up that can be seen on his myspace page

Why this name?
Some of the homies gave me the name "The Jewell" about 13 years ago. They always said that I was the diamond in the rough. The prefix "800" I have always carried as a nick name.
Do you play live?
I have done so many live performances in numerous cities that I can not just pick one. I love to perform for the crowd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It give people from all over the world a chance to hear your music if you do not have promotions or a record deal
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I am currently signed with Sonic Wave International, a wonderful company.

15 years strong as a one man band!!!! ...and still rollin' with heat!
Your influences?
Of course Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Paul Hardcastle, Grover Washington Jr., and DJ Quik.
Favorite spot?
The Studio in my home.

I am one of very few rap artist to come out of Colorado, especially Internationally with a Grammy consideration.
