The first impression of “Shtrih-Kot” (“Bar-Cat”) is a quiet delightful surprise. And indeed – nobody in Belarus plays such kind of music anymore, it’s understood. Perhaps, the human factor is unique. Perhaps, this very combination of musical lightness and emotional tension without strong deviations is very rare. And what is the most important – here the melodies are wonderful, both peaceful and anxious, and the manner of presentation is awfully touchy – as if they were all out of this world. All this progressive electronic effect is “bar” here, and speaking about “cat” we mean the songs. This “cat” is very warm, supple; it is the embodiment of group’s charisma. In general it isn’t very interesting to discuss the quality of sound on this disc. If you want a piece of advice – just download and enjoy the songs as they are really very nice.
