Pretty much we're two guys that really enjoy making music together. Been at it a couple of years now. Green Pants (or whatever we end up deciding to call ourselves) is our living out the dream of being rock stars...without actually having to be rock stars. Hopefully, others will enjoy our weirdness as well.
Why this name?
We needed a name on the fly because I was rushing to put up mp3s on this website.
Do you play live?
We have, but not lately. I suppose we would like to again someday.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I can remember thinking that when Napster and the other mp3 filesharing sites started blowing up big that it was the death knell of the music industry as we knew. Through technology that was affordable, a band could ostensibly record an album, sell it on their own website, promote and organize tours all on their own without the hassle of being on a major label and the pressure to be the next big thing. I think I was also hoping for the death of pop music a la Britney Spears.

Although things haven't turned out exactly as I thought, I find that I'm finding more and more of my current playlist off of this and other websites that are similar.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We've talked about it. I suppose if everything felt right (ie timing, contract, etc), then yeah.
