Me, a collection of basses, a keyboard or two and a stack of fancy software. Some of the songs on here aren't really for casual listening, but are here to allow others access for various things... For instance at the moment there's a drumloop and an audio clip of slap bass, for a contest and a lesson respectively, both linked to from musicianforums.com. Others are collaborations I've worked on, or pieces of my own creation.
Why this name?
It's my initials, and the site most viewers will be linking here from. It's not my band-name. Just this page.
Do you play live?
Occasionally. I think the most memorable moment was our singer hospitalising himself during a last minute practice before a show.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hah... I don't think it would fit in this box... I've got a rant saved somewhere on this infernal machine. If I can find it I'll try and fit it in.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. Money for music. I intend to make a living from the music industry, which could be why I'm on a Sound Technology Master's Degree course! At the moment I'm aiming to be more of a Producer/Engineer than a professional musician, but that would be cool too.
Band History:
I started playing bass in 2002. I knew I wanted to play an instrument, one involved in the music I liked. All my friends were starting guitar, or played drums, so I thought I'd be a little different (And secure my place in the band) by taking up bass. As this train of thought ran through my mind, someone put the Rhinoplasty Live version of Tommy The Cat by Primus on the stereo, and that was that.

A few weeks later I bought a cheap, but sturdy Musicman Stingray replica. I enjoyed it immensely, and have since bought three more basses, and a keyboard. I'm still learning the basics of keyboard, really, but my deficiencies in playing the thing are countered by my knowledge of MIDI sequencing - I play very sloppily, but I know how to clean it up!
Your influences?
Well, there's a fair variation of music on here. Some pieces are influenced by Les Claypool, others by Flea, or Wooten, others take an entirely different tack and are influenced by the likes of Air, Mike Oldfield and so on.
Favorite spot?
A tough call, that one. In many ways, right here. The Lune Valley. But also the temples of Hong Kong, the lakes of Finland, the beaches of the Philippines, the University of Glamorgan's recording studios... Depends on my mood, really.
