OK this is soo hard to explain you have no idea.. we went through a million band names including Dear Scarlet, which is why one our main band site is dearscarlet.com but it can be accessed through I-N-V-U.com but it is to hard to remember...... anyways so after going through the names and for some reason or another we just go one week with the name and decide that we need to change it for the slightest reason... like dear scarlet rhymes with good charlotte or some minor reason like that. Then one day we were just chillin at Kai's friend's house and some how came up with "innocence never valued us" and well that is quite long so we abbreviated it, and found the abrevation ironically said "I envy you" so we fell in love with it quick. Also as luck may have it though i am told that I.N.V.U. is the name for a japanese magna but we decided that we weren't going to change our name again.

We play live everywhere and anywhere we can and it is our favorite thing to do

I.N.V.U. started in August, Kai Yuen's last attempts of the season to start a band were not wasted when a local guitarist from Bowie contacted him inquiring about starting a band. Soon Jerry was soon to follow on bass. After a couple of vocal try outs they decided to try out Ben, a fan of the previous group The Blackberry Crush. He wanted to play in the band since those days, so finally they decided to give him a try, and he proved. well...awesome. After that it was decided since they didn't have a drummer for the studio jerry moved over to Drums temporarily until they could find another drummer. Well after that happened, Ben had the bright of idea of bringing over Jamie. Jamie was soon added on bass, until Tommy (the new drummer) got everything down, then Jamie became 2nd vocals which seems to compliment ben's so seamlessly. Currently they are in the studio and playing a handful of shows, so keep your eye out for them as they seem to continue to make a name for themselves in the scene. They are not your usual "Metal-Core" group. Mixed with Blues, Funk, Punk, Emo, Classical, Metal, Hardcore and some other things they try to grow musically as best they can.

Our influences stem from Metal, Hardcore,punk-emo, and j-rock.. so we are a very diverse band with many different types of songs.. there really is no good representation to give you a heads up on our music.. listen enjoy

we are old fashioned.. we use the amps guitars, and drums... very little effects and all the stuff... we just go out and do our thing
