Alright, so I've Made a soundclick page.. and I'm debating on rushing through this or not. First of All I'm Dj Skore, a young Canadian Dj With Very Few Dreams.. I enjoy Electronica Music far to much.. but I tend to enjoy many other types.. I've very low key in the music making- but I find it most entertaining.
Why this name?
I was helped with it, to be correct it was given to me, I called myself Robotic Plankton before, but my Friend Got mad at me- because it was his word I guess!
Do you play live?
Sometimes, not very often anymore- focusing on producing.. I simply Djayed, but now I focus on production.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its alot faster these days, alot of money being lost though.. but as a low Key Dj I could care less- enjoy what you can get for free. while it lasts I suppose.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course- But I'm pretty happy with the Label I have now.. I cant post any of my real stuff here, but the stuff I mess around with I can.
Band History:
my history started long ago with Ejay, Special Edition.. the cheesy sounds- the poor design, the idea that I was calling myself a dj. and yelling down the hallway to call my mom to listen.. pretty sad.. I updated to Fruity loops, found it hard. gave up and went back to ejay- a year later I finally tried fruity loops again.. got used to it- and enjoyed it.. after that I found a playstation version of Ejay, and I fell in love with that. even though the internet cant hear those mixes.. they are decent to me.. so now I use dm2's and mixman studio pro.. but thats when my turntables are out of town..
Your influences?
Rank 1 airwave. the First techno song I ever heard.. It went onto the love of Paul Oakenfold.. and my sister having a night to hang out with him.. and later on Dj Frisky- a local from me.. the complextion of electronic music is so attractive..
Favorite spot?
Toronto, its just a fast paced place. I call it home.. I was scared at first though.
Equipment used:
fruity loops, ejay, dm2, mixman studios, acid loops, pioneer turntables. and I can't remember my mixer....
Anything else...?
if you enjoy electronic music- its the most accessible thing to do, since you can illegaly download everything at the start.. but you will learn how hard it really is.. if you want to get into djing, just listen to the music- you'll learn more and more from just listening. till eventually you have money and are recording! Good luck anyone and everyone.
