How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It definitely opens new doors for unknown artists and also gets major artists a boost in popularity. If it wasn't for the internet most kids wouldn't care about half of these one hit wonders, because some kids aren't stupid enought to pay $15 for a cd, but will download the one song and get that artist a boost.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, I wanna be poor all my life and make music like a hippie.
Of course I would.
Of course I would.
Band History:
It all started out when I was 14 years old and I started to rhyme with my boy Kingpin. We had this little rhyme group in high school, but really never took things seriously at the time. Then in 1998 I finally started to perform live. I then hooked up with Rogue in 2000 and we started to rhyme together. The first show we did together was with Darkside and DJ Throne on the cut at the Millenium Night Club in Thunder Bay, ON in July 2000. I eventually started to get booked on a lot of shows and also had the opportunity to play along side some of the greatest hip hop emcees of all time.
Your influences?
Mainly east coast hip hop, a lot of my stuff is dark and also I like hard hitting beats with a circa 1996 east coast flava.
Favorite spot?
I don't have a favourite spot, I can't stand still.
Equipment used:
Microphones and whatever else we can get our hands on. I work with dj's who use anything from technics 1200's to computer software for producing beats.
Anything else...?
