Away from Home are a four piece emo punk, rawk band. Based in Cheshire, North England. Their sound is catchy but aggresive and emotional, its like an early november meets TBS. It is music that is real, representing the emotions of the bitter and wounded.
Why this name?
Away from Home is a personal name... home is where the heart is so it isnt necessarily a literal meaning. It could mean to be secluded from a certain something, maybe a person, a place or yourself.
Do you play live?
We live in a big town called runcorn. We dont like it... infact, it is the bum hole of cheshire.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is an amazing source, it allows people all over the world to hear different types of music instead of being stuck with the sh*** that gets played on the TV.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
hell yeah.
Band History:
It all began in jacks bedroom... then the studio, then to the stage. We'll be on stage until we get on TV.
Your influences?
taking back sunday, matchbook romance, thrice, early november, saves the day, hot rod circuit etc etc
Favorite spot?
We played 2 shows in newcastle this summer gone, beautiful women with horny accents.
