How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If used correctly and in conjunction with real world promotion (banners etc) the internet can establish a permanent connection between musicians and their fans. It also is literally invaluable for prospective clients and promoters to reach bands, cell phones have bad connections, answering machine messages are missed, but the world wide web is always on. Unfortunately a fear of the new technology has indy artists and underground labels way behind where they should be.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I have done production for numerous record label albums including the second Eve 6 album's cover and liner notes.
