Welcome to the page of Shattered iconz Music's Dallus.
Why this name?
DALLUS simply stands for Death And Life Live Under Sun
Do you play live?
I've done a few live shows here and threre through out my career. My fav. would have to be my first show ever. That would be when I performed at the Sun Splash in Hartford, Ct. As an opening act for Beenie Man and Busta Ryhmes. Other then that..I would say when I was one of the few emcees ever to be on Direct Effect when they were doing their freestyle battles.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Man, i think the Internet forces you to be on top of your game. I mean on one hand you gotta stay ahead of the kats how relase your stuff early online. And then you gotta compete with the guys popping up online to promote themselves. But if you are smart...you can use the Internet to your advantage. It's a easy way to keep in touch with the fans and a great way to get your stuff otu to where it needs to be.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. I mean thats the first thing me and my boy talked about. And that was trying to get to a point where I can sign to a major label. Thats like the dream.
Band History:
The God himself, S dot Wynn has more then cemented his name as Hartford's bestkept secert. From spitting solo flows to ripping it with groups like The I.G.'s and Flamethrowas, Dallus has gone through the motions and has see the sights of a struggling Hip Hop life. Now combined with his fellowed overlooked partner in crime, 40 Barz...Dallus is giving it the all or nothing approach in order to give focus to his cloudly vision.Well taken this new path, Dallus has refined and sharpened the wit and the tongue that first caught everyone's attention of the infamous "What's The Deal!?! Mixtape". Now more then ever the man who "got Christopher Reeves on the mat doing backflips" is ready to give Hip Hop what it has been missing for some time...lyrics.
Your influences?
I think I take a little bit of something from every piece of music. I mean...I try to piece the emotion of a Bob Marley with the live performance of The Roots. I try to listen to all music and take what works for them and use it to better my music.
Favorite spot?
I have no one spot that I'm fond of. To me every spot brings a fond memory and holds a special place to me.
