Hello.
Jimmy Lightfoot here.
What to say about myself?
I write songs. Songs about rats and heartbreak and friendship and depression and shotguns and rejection and evil whores.
I cover songs. Songs by Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Ween and Queen.
I take these songs and I play them in pubs in Preston and Leyland.
People seem to enjoy themselves with my limited talent.
Please have a listen.

Why this name?
Quite simply because it is my name.
I think.
I think.
Do you play live?
Yes. I play live as often as I can because it gives me such a buzz to entertain people. Which is what a lot of people come up and say to me afterwards. They say to me "You're an entertainer".
The special moment which springs to mind most is my first gig at The Mitre Tavern in Preston when I actually got the whole pub singing along with a song I had written. I felt rather rock.
Another special moment was when I performed with The Jimmy Lightfoot Experience......this just blew my mind. A dreamcome true.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
no comment really. I like the way people can discover new music. I think its a good thing for the true spirit of rock.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
Before I started this "solo career" I was involved in several flings with bands.
I was a founding member of The Deplorable Word. But they kicked me out.
I then joined Acid Test Radio as a keyboardist. But they kicked me out too.
I have a side project known as Cyprus, Lightfoot, Edinburgh and Limes with my friends.
I decided I wanted to try going solo after watching my friend Stephen Buckley play. I am grateful to him for that.
