Formed by two guitarists, one a jazz-student/shredder (Nathan David) and one who moonlights as a studio drummer and record producer (Dean Dichoso), Stasera uses prog and hard rock influences to fuse an alternative-metal style that juxtaposes the intense, sultry vocal stylings of female vocalist Jamie Burgin with music that is beautiful, heavy, colourful, dark, erotic, and aggressive.
Why this name?
Stasera, short for "questa sera" means "this evening" in Italian. It was appropriate, since the bands birth and songwriting engine is primarily a midnight affair.
Do you play live?
Stasera plays live profusely - (while they are not working on the album). Most shows occur in and around the Southern California/Los Angeles area. They live for giving an intense and sexy show unmatched by most. Special moment? Definitely. On the way to a major label showcase in Dallas, bassplayer Paul Anderson, spilled the spare gas container all over guitarist Nathan David. Nathan figured the Oreos tasted great doused in the gasoline and started to use the gas for "dunking" on the 22 hr trip back home to California.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Simple. In the 80's we used to "pirate" by means of the audio cassette. It is no different, so I wish people like Lars Ulrich would shut the f*** up and buy some f***ing Rogaine. Now we can share music via digital format. The virtual audio cassette.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
...A reluctant "yes".. These days, true power of promotion and distribution lies elsewhere (my f***ing secret, hacks). Powerful Indie is the target, and only a true and good contract with a major is acceptable.

Formed in October 2002 by two guitarists, one a jazz-student/shredder (Nathan David) and one who moonlights as a studio drummer and record producer (Dean Dichoso), Stasera uses prog and hard rock influences to fuse an alternative-metal style - ala Helmet, A Perfect Circle, Smashing Pumpkins, that juxtaposes the intense, sultry vocal style of vocalist Jamie Burgin with music that is beautiful, dark, and aggressive.

Nathan and Dean (who was actually drummer at the time) completed the live lineup in late 2002 with Paul Anderson on bass guitar and released the first Stasera demo “Triad” which contained three dark, metal-tinged songs that would be the foundation for the band’s unique style. June of 2003 saw the release of second demo “Virtuosa” which, although still heavy and dark, explored the band’s more mainstream/pop tendencies. Now in 2004, a natural journey back to purity and integrity has taken place as a prolific songwriting renaissance occurred between Nathan, Dean, and Jamie during a rebirth period of the band. Dean has moved to guitar for the purposes of maintaining the thick and lush ambience present on recordings for live settings and now the band has gone into production with Dean to create their debut album, the third and most intense release yet tentatively titled, “..le progressioni del cuore..”.

Stasera’s live show is nothing if not lush and very intense. Throughout their usual 45 minute set, the entire band’s tasteful, yet overwhelming visual storm of aggressive energy, complements their huge, layered live sound. Jamie’s highly emotional and powerful vocal performance catches audience attention immediately. Dean’s dramatic, beautiful manipulation of noise and Nathan’s percussive late 80’s infused lead-style create an awesome melodic texture above Andy's consistently hard-hitting, lyrical drumming and Paul’s deep blanket of bass.

Stasera has done a number of club tours in support of “progressioni” – the pre-album demo, and will be playing shows extensively throughout all major regions of California (Orange County, Valley Area, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Bay Area) with stops in various festivals/showcases in heavy support of the debut album. Also at the release of the debut album, the band will be doing a national college and club tour in major cities– continuing to deliver incredible performances to packed audiences and redefine the world of metal and hard-rock.
