HI Joe Culby is the name and breathing and making music is the game. At 42 now I am at a stage in my life where I have seen it all and done it all (twice) I never learned form my mistakes. I write songs about life and the human condition some are sad some are joyful but all real. My ego is my greatest friend and my worst enemy. I hope people enjoy my music and get where I am coming from. Life is too short to bullshit so breath in and hope for the best. Love is the answer what is the question.

Band History:
I was a drummer for many years but got fed up with the lead singer always getting the woman so I decided to take up the guitar and went out front and began writing and singing my own songs.
I have worked with Arty Mcglynn (Arty is my Uncle and has worked with them all, Van Morrison, Paul Brady,and John Prine) and Gilson Lavis (drummer with Jools Holland)
I tour as a solo artist or I have 2 bands that I use on the road one band is an 8 piece line up the other is 13 with a full 6 piece brass section.Boy do we kick ass. Catch me if you can and please come up and talk to me I love meeting people.

Paul brady, Van morrison,Delbert Mc Clinton,the list is endless.Music for me is about the soul and if it dosent touch the soul its just noise.
Favorite spot?
Rehab or being on stage.Both are the same really.

Because of putting my songs on Soundclick I have just been got to Statue Records in LA, sorry to say they dont seem to be up to much, promise alot, deliver nothing, where are all the honest record labels these days.I,m glad to say that I no longer have anything to do with Statue , my advise stay away from them, there cowboys.
