Tee Turner began his career in Charlotte, N.C. singing gospel music. As a result of success in local events he was encouraged by his hometown to pursue his musical career in the Metropolitan Detroit Area.

Seen on such television shows as "On Line" and "Stage 15" (Bloomfield Cable), "Take It To The Stage" (Barden Cable), and "The New Dance Show" (WGPR) as well as appearances at numerours clubs and private corporate parties, it was no wonder that such national performers as Percy Sledge, Chairman Of The Board, Kim Weston, Brenda Holloway, The Miracles and Boys II Men would soon be part of the ever growing list of acts that would request his talents. Tee's group backed legendary Motown artists, The Miracles and it wasn't long before he became the official fourth vocalist - a spot long held open by this group with the passing of original member Ronnie White.

And talented he is - first and foremost as a superb vocalist ranging from the haunting qualities of Marvin Gaye and David Ruffin (perhaps from his overall love of Motown music) to the current trends of today's artists.

Although bass is Tee's instrument of choice, he is equally adept on keyboard and percussion. Recently an acoustic guitar made it's way home to his studio where he records original music for his own independent label - HITLINE RECORDS, resulting in the production of his CD "SMOOTH EYES". His music is also part of the soundtrack to the recent movie "With Nobody"

The addition of Tee's voice to The Miracles has brought about much success to the group. On tour nationally, The Miracles were asked to perform in the guest spot of the recent Doo Wop PBS special aired in March, 2002 and returned again in April to tape the next edition to be aired in October 2002.

Tee's newest CD "MORE THAN ONE NIGHT" released April 24, 2002 to a crowd of folks including Motown greats The Miracles, The Vandellas and Clay McMurray, to name a few, proved to be an overwhelming success. Look for the music on Soundclick soon. "MISSING YOU" has been remixed and remastered.
Why this name?
It's my name!
Do you play live?
Performing is what I enjoy best - I've played all across the United States and Canada with my former band, The Headliners, as well as many casinos including Casino Windsor and The Hilton in Reno, Nevada. Lot's of excitement in those venues; the clubs in and around Michigan are fun because I get an opportunity to interact with the people. There are so many stories I could tell about the people I've met and places I've been to. I am always amazed how folks will "band" together in times of need.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
New technology has always changed the world, i.e., horses to cars! I've connected with many more people globally than I believe I would have before the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal was right!
Your influences?
My greatest influence has to be Motown. Berry Gordy said it all!! Folks like The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson definitely stand the test of time.
I've been blessed to be able to perform with The Miracles. We've been touring the country doing casinos, fairs and festivals, corporate parties and recently the PBS television - Doo Wop. Being on stage with greats such as Jerry Butler, Dee Dee Sharp, Frankie Gaye, Little Anthony and The Imperials and many others almost completes my dream.
Favorite spot?
At home with my mom in Charlotte or in the recording studio!
Anything else...?
While my love of Motown music and R&B is a great influence, I really like to flavor it with the current trends of today. All of my music is positive - I want to remain this way so kids can have something to look up to.
