Band History:
I started out as a bass player in a school grunge band when I was 12. I soon got bored of that and took up guitar and lead vocals and sang in a series of Sheffield bands including Feds, KarmaSupra and Medicine Bow. I was always into the acoustic side of things and have been writing solo songs with my acoustic guitar as my accompaniment from the age of 13, three years later I became a regular on the Sheffield folk/acoustic circuit.
I have done small tours of France and England, most notably a three date Northern tour with John Smith, Denis Jones and the Random Family in May 2009.
In 2007 I became Opus Independents first release, with CD "Chansons de l'Eyrieux". This was followed by another equally successful release "Le Vin de l'Assassin" CD, released on Bonfire Night, 2008 to a packed audience at the Green Room, Sheffield.
I have worked with several other musicians over the past few years including, Andrew Duxfield, Gina Walters and Mark Roberts, the latter culminating in the formation of band "Watch This Fire Spread" http://www.watchthisfirespread.co.uk.
