Songwriter/Singer/Musician. I've been in the music business off and on many, many years and enjoy, for the most part, a lot of different kinds of music. I am concentrating now mostly on writing for the country commercial market.

Why this name?
Shelia Quattlebaum... are you kidding? Do you know how many times a day I have to spell this for someone???? HA!!!
Do you play live?
I used to travel and perform a lot. Now I am concentrating on Songwriter/Singer venues.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is changing the industry day-by-day. It is amazing how many talented people we have in this world that the general public will never hear of. Hopefully, this kind of site will help.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Right now just hoping to be a succesful songwriter. So...if anyone out there is interested in any of my songs, please contact me!
Your influences?
Like I said, I love a lot of different music styles. My earliest influences are Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and Bonnie Raitt. I also cannot forget Mavis Staples. I have always loved the Staple Singers. Tina Turner too. Today I listen to folks like Gillian Welch, Buddy and Julie Miller, and Norah Jones. I still love my Loretta though!
Favorite spot?
Fav cities would have to be the "music" towns...
Memphis, Nashville, and hope one day to check out Austin!!

Equipment used:
Guitars: Takamine and a Pink Ovation...:)
Thanks to Phil Coley and David Leonard, both in the Atlanta area for helping me demo some of my songs. Thanks to Galen Breen and Jason Roller, both in Nashville, for doing my more recent demos.

Anything else...?
Just hope that somebody out there might enjoy listening to my songs! I hope I can keep motivated and continue. I know the best is yet to come in my songwriting.
And...if anyone is interested in recording any of these, get in touch with me.
