I've been writing songs since i was 12. Mostly light pop type stuff, but the last few years I've really started to write with better chords and arrangements, stuff thats a bit more than "pop". I really dont know what to call my music anymore. It's really a combination of lots of different styles.
Why this name?
My wonderful parents took care of that one for me.
Do you play live?
No I usually don't. I have a few times for certain events but I generally don't play out, except for the occasional gig backing up the incredible Todd East. I'm much more of a studio rat. The few times I have performed though were fun.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it allows for us to hear so many artists that radio would never hear...I generally don't like whats on the radio today so its cool to be able to hear many different types of artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the situation presented itself, I'd love to. My music isn't nearly commercial enough I don't think, but it would be nice to be able to work in a professional studio with professional musicians (assuming they'd let me produce too).
Band History:
See above band intro.
Your influences?
Beach Boys/Brian Wilson primarily are the main ones. Also a little bit of Elton John, Billy Joel, and local songwriter Jeff Steves.
Favorite spot?
My studio at home, in Fairport, NY.
Equipment used:
I use mostly my Yamaha keyboard, acoustic guitar, and my voice. For recording, I use a Tascam 2488 digital recorder.
