This is just me, staying up 'till the odd hours of the morning poking away at Reason, sometimes playing around until I get a decent idea then I run with it and make a song. As I am still just starting out, I don't yet have any fun anecdotes or terribly exciting information.
Why this name?
Heh, it's my last name. It's Russian, meaning "thunder and lightning." I think it sounds cool enough so I just use that.
Do you play live?
Not with electronic music, but I am the drummer in a rock band named Hulk Smash with friends, and we just have fun with that.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's an awesome medium for beginners or even advanced music producers to get their music out there and get feedback from a broad audience. I think some independent music producers are way more skilled than a lot of the guys producing commercial CD's, so to me the internet is one of the best things to happen to music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, well, maybe not right now, but at least if I felt that I had created enough music of a high enough quality for a CD.
Band History:
I had a computer once, those were the days.
Your influences?
I'm into all kinds of electronica, from the light trance to industrial hardcore and everything inbetween. Some artists that inspire me are Scott Brown, Mars and Mystre, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method, and Fatboy Slim
Favorite spot?
San Francisco, California.
Equipment used:
I use Reason 2.5 on my computer for composing, ReCycle 2.0 for editing loops and clips, and Audacity and SoundEdit for various other editings and recordings.
Anything else...?
I would love any constructive criticism that you could give me on any song; I'm always looking for ways to improve.
