Brian Wilson said of his epic work Pet Sounds, "I wanted to make the listener feel loved." Those words have always remained with me and I hope to share loving, healing sounds with the listener as well.
Music
True account from Christmas 2003 which was celebrated in Baghdad, Iraq with the 82nd Airborne. Highest charts position in subgenre: # 3 ( 1,384 songs currently listed in Pop > Christmas/Seasonal) Video can be seen here:

Just some Christmas fun...words and music by Tony DeLecce. Many thanks to Tony for the permission to cover his fabulous holiday classic-to-be!
This song is very traditional and a TRUE American Christmas song/sound....
My version of the Holiday Classic. This is a sneak peak at the Christmas CD I am working on. Hope to have 6 songs available for download by 1 December.
When your dreams break your heart, you can cry on my shoulder. Faithful love will never fail you...
This track has been played over 12,000 times on SoundClick.com. Thanks to all who shared this listening experience!
A hat tip to The Beatles' Second Album - and a fresh new sound for those too young to remember that great experience. Highest position in Pop was #3; Highest position in subgenre Pop Rock was #2.
Melodic 70s pop styled track.
This song is a confession of weakness and a musical journey from Pet Sounds to God's ears.
This is my version of Tony Hearn's instant surf rock classic. Hot rod harmonies and big surf beat = lots of summer fun! (highest chart position: # 2 in subgenre Pop Rock).
As life gets complicated, the answer is childlike faith...

Johnny with Iraqi Soldier 2008 Baghdad, Iraq
10 July 2008 "In Malibu"
1982- I wanted to be #1 in the Nation
Why this name?
The three of us (me, myself, and I) reached consensus after a nasty power struggle.
Do you play live?
I play live in Church, coffee houses, in the combat zone in Iraq (I am a soldier on active duty), at ceremonies, wherever I can.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives the little guys a fighting chance. It eliminates some of the middle men and gives an immediate contact opportunity between the listener and the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely! I'm available today! :P
Band History:
I played in bands in Richmond, VA in the 80s as Johnny Proctor and the Fabulous Noys, Johnny Proctor and Bad, and the Jammin' Joe Realm. I have opened for Phil Keaggy and played extensively as a worship leader in Church. As an active duty soldier, I have played a lot at chapel services, Prayer Breakfasts and deployments.
Your influences?
The Beach Boys, Beatles, Phil Keagy, Four Freshmen, Israel's Hope, Lamb, Nat King Cole, The Jam, Harry Gore, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Jan & Dean, John Michael Talbot, George Gershwin.
Favorite spot?
The Beach!!!!!!!!
Equipment used:
Roland BR532 Digital 4-Track recording station and pawn shop instruments. I have a fairly nice tambourine, though. I always record in flip flops.
Anything else...?
I LOVE talking music with anybody! Please tell me what you like/dislike about my music at abnjumpmaster56m@yahoo.com and PLEASE listen to more than one song because they're all different! Thanks for checking me out! :)

Hi Johnny!
Thanks for coming by and listening to my latest humble offering. I seem to be writing and getting stuff together when I can; the response was surprising. I often forget how people can and do relate to what I write.
I am always humbled by that. I don't know what got into someone yesterday, but whoever it was downloaded my entire page. I hope they enjoy what they got.
I'm listening to "I Am Here" and a great message is contained within..you don't realize that what you write is very powerful, Johnny.
I hope all is well, and thanks again, my friend.

Well accoustic guitar is how it all starts.

Happy Thanksgiving, Mr and Mrs Proctor!
I hope all is well, and ya didn't eat too much turkey...too late, Tony already did, LOL!!! I know I did, too..so don't feel alone, LOL!!
All is well, I'm busy working; but still writing off and on.
Got a new one up whenever you get a chance to come listen...I think you'll like it..it's a piano acoustic version of a song I recently wrote called "He Will Take Good Care of You". A full production cut might come later..and I'd thought I had an idea for one..but I couldn't ever get it to come through as I sat down to try and get this one down.
Blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving!

The great lutenists Jones and John Dowland were rediscovered only about 100 years ago. They said Jones mostly only did short songs or 'Airs' and, since most of his Madrigal booke is lost, they would not think of considering him as a composer since he left not big great works. Now a days there are people who call composers like John Lennon 'geniuses' even though they only wrote short songs. As I was working on 'She Hath An Eye' and when it was going well I was wondering why won't anyone consider Robert Jones a genius.

Hey Johnny,
Just back from the UK and can tell you it is a few steps back from the USA. Tara and I did have a funny thing happen. We were walking around Piccadilly circus and stumbled on a side street/alley and we started walking down it and I saw the sign that said Saville ROW and I said to Tara oh man this is where Apple Headquarters was. And just as I said it we looked up on the steps of Saville ROW 3 and there was a tour guide with a group telling them all about the Beatles headquarters and pointing across the street up on the roof where they did the Let it Be sessions. Looked much smaller and not as high as it seems in the videos when they are doing Get Back etc.

All right, Johnny, whenever you're ready, I'm ready; I bravely covered Wayne Pascall's song "Give a Little Love" and put it up.
It has those gospel keys you seem to like so well, plus a violin and strings..a very simple arrangement this time.
I'd given this one some hard thought, because I didn't know what I was going to do with it..I wanted to cover it, but then I went blank for a long period of time.
When I got home this time, I was looking at the lyric sheet, and knew I'd use a piano, but wasn't sure what would come after, and so I dove in, knowing if anything else was coming, it would come after the piano got laid....and it did.
Got it all done yesterday, and sanged it; mixed it and finished it.
Whenever you can spare a few minutes.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying some of your music.
Blessings to you and your family; I hope all is well,
Tammy

Johnny,
I was looking for your cover of Tony's I've Done Alright and stumbled upon this. WOW! I've always been impressed with your vocals in the context of the entire song. This is beautifully done. The vocals stand alone PERFECTLY! As impressive as any Beach Boys performance or the Beatles' Because.

Hey Johnny! Can't believe l missed this... Without doubt one of my favorites l love when it comes on the station Tx Debra aka ms 007

I don't know why I didn't hear this one before. I really like your harmonies here. They are tight and sound almost like an acappella rendition. It's much like the Beach Boys style - with the instruments light in the background. Nice guitar sounds too. A Christmas classic and you executed it well. May you and yours have a Merry Christmas!
