Why this name?
I call myself Chris Mrtin because thats my real name and i was going to call the record label HipHopALYPSE NOW but i found out that was a talent agency with that name so I changed it to halfdecent. No reason why i just thought that halfdecent was the best name i chould coome up with.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is essential for up incoming artist and a great way to get your music heard. As for downloading albums, my artists are here for the fans and if someone downloads thier album for free and decides to go to one of their concerts then they gained a fan. Id rather someone download it and then say i dont like it then them buy the album and feel ripped off.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nah. But i whould collaberate with a label or sign a distrubution deal.
Band History:
Halfdecent Entertainment Presents - In The Making
27 Track CD featuring Boneless, Chris Martin, Nonsense and Wyte
Your influences?
It started off years ago... i used to listen to alot of Blues... especially the blues brothers.... i started to get into guitar melody’s and then moved onto liking rock music.... listing to limp Bizkit got me into liking rap and then i heard 2pac and i listened to hip hop from there on.... recently Canibus, Jedi Mind Tricks,Immortal Technique, Dizzee Rascal, Eminem, Akir, Diabolic and Tone Def have been influenced me on my lyrics and the style of how i rap and The Neptune’s, Dr. Dre, Scoupe, Postman, Dizzee Rascal, Taz and Timberland have been influencing my production.....
Favorite spot?
London... it's so full of life and everywhere i look i'm influenced by the city. But i make better music at home.
Equipment used:
Yamaha PSR-290 Keyboard, Numark Turntables, Yamaha MG 12/4 Mixer, Sure PG 48 Microphone, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and a Yamaha PSR 15 Organ ... it's a very old organ i use to get some odd and original sounds out of for bases and melody's....

As for computer software i mostly use Cubase, fruity loops, Cakewalk arranger, Magix and CM Studio .... i used to use making waves but i've gone off that now. Im starting to go off fruity loops but in the little time i have to produce i get songs done quickly so i use it occasioanlly.

I will be getting an MPC2000XL soon.
