SoundClick artist: Project Solitude - Instrumental/prog rock with guitar and keys with emphasis on melodic song structure.

After many failed attempts of working with full bands I have decided to try something on my own. I've been playing guitar for about 17 years now and keyboards for about 6 years. I recently bought some decent recording gear and have been working on some demos that I would like to share with you. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Why this name?

For lack of a better name this is what I came up with.

Do you play live?

I don't play live now nor do I see myself playing live anytime in the near future. I've played out many times in the past and I really don't have a lot of fond memories of it. Playing original music can be a daunting task in this area of the country if you don't have the "in" sound.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think it helps. Especially for those who are not signed to a record label. I feel it gives the average musician/band the opportunity to be heard by so many others.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Would I? Yes. Will it ever happen? No. So it's kind of a moot point.

Your influences?

I like a lot of different styles in music, but for the most part it's rock, metal and prog rock/metal that holds my attention the most.
