Why this name?
It was named after the Fear Factory song Replica that vocalist Roger Burke-Smith once used
for a nickname on ICQ...but the band was punk not metal hence the addition of Punk to the
name...plus didnt want to be sued

Do you play live?
We did a talent show, and played for my sis'z birthday(that was just Jay, Dan, and Jer though).
If you make it big..?
We will try not to let it go to our heads, haha, it will be hard though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it sometimes makes it better but also worse for bands....good for starting bands not as good for others...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, definitly.
Band History:
Replica Punk originated in late 1999, and started to practice with each other in the begining of 2000. The band at the time consisted of 3 members, Dan, Jay, and Jeremy(he likes to be called Jer). There wasn't really a vocalist yet even though Jay was like best friends with Roger at the time and for the last 2 years. As for Jer and Dan, they have been best friends for the last 2 1/2 years. Jeremy and Dan had originally wanted to be in a band since a little while after they met and had already started writing songs before they even met Jay or Roger. Dan then met Jay about half a year ago and started to practice with him. Jer and Jay finally met and they did a talent show together for the first time. They got 3rd place. A little while after those memories Jay introduced Roger to Dan. The 4 member punk/pop band had been started.
Your influences?
Our musical influences are MxPx, Blink 182,Limp Bizkit, Deftones, P.O.D., Third Eye Blind,Strung Out, Glassjaw
Favorite spot?
don't know, Dan really has a thing for Europe though.
Equipment used:
We use fender guitars, ernie ball strings, jimi dunlop pics and, uhhh, drums.
