Ned Withers aka I.P – Emcee / Producer.

History:

Ned Withers aka I.P has been involved in hip-hop since 1990 where he was introduced to free-styling in junior high with some friends.

In 1994, I.P left his home-base of Calgary to live in Vancouver. During his stay in Vancouver he had the opportunity to build with fellow emcees such as: Prevail, Moka Only and Kyprios developing his skills and performance experience. He then returned to Calgary in 1997 and formed a group called Endangered Species with his partner Nohow. After purchasing a home studio & learning the ins and outs of hip-hop production Endangered Species released their first album called “Intangible” on cassette & gained a lot of recognition which allowed them to tour western Canada & work with artists such as Isosceles ( http://Isosceles.tv ) and DJ Vinroc ( http://5thplatoon.com ) they were also featured in the Australian hip-hop publication Stealth magazine. I.P has also released 3 solo albums: “Who knows”, “What I Invent” & “Something while you wait”.

Nigel Brown aka RANK has also been involved in hip-hop since the early 90’s where he used his artistic talents to do graffiti and write poetry in his spare time. He moved from Vancouver to Calgary in 1998 where he met I.P through their mutual love for hip-hop. In the year of 2000, I.P decided to take Nigel under his wing and they formed NWNB ( Nuwanuba ) they recorded their first album “Nowherenearbabylon” and started performing songs off it locally in Calgary shortly after. The song “New Fools” became an underground classic getting airplay on CBC Canada, Vibe98.5 and college radio across CANADA. In 2002 NWNB released their “Limited Edition” CD and decided to take it on tour with them covering all of western Canada. In late 2002 NWNB started recording their latest album “Cupocreeps”, this album was recorded In Calgary & Vancouver and features production and guest appearances from Moka Only & Nohow.

NWNB “Cupocreeps” has given the duo quite a buzz, selling over a thousand units independently with no promotion, video etc. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears focused as NWNB rise up and continue to deliver that funk, jazz, reggae, rock and soul inspired Hip-Hop music. Collectively NWNB have shared the stage with: Oddities, Sweatshop Union, Fourth World Occupants, Souls of Mischief, Guru of Gangstarr, Moka Only, Living Legends, etc.

NWNB in association with endub entertainment will be releasing 60403 in November 2004..make sure you keep your eyes and ears open for this album, recorded in Vancouver and Calgary 2003-2004, it's definately a heater featuring beats and rhymes from: ip, nigel b, nohow, moka only and dj phonograff.
