Welcome to the world of Selenium. My music features downtempo dark beats with the spirit of ambience to guide the dreaded sounds. You'll find some of the songs are not as long, but in time I'll have that changed. Some songs may be collaborations to which due credit will be presented. Selenium guides you into a world of red, black, and gray.
Why this name?
I chose the name Selenium after writing a poem in homage to a very good friend. His inspiring words led me to write a poem deep with despair, pain, and light. Having taken chemistry, I remembered an element in its world called selenium. Like this metal, my poem to takes the form of red, black, and gray.
Do you play live?
I have yet to play live. If so I'd hope to do so one day at Albion Batcave in New York City.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the music industry is enhanced by the power of the internet (Mp3). Some artists are never discovered whilst there art is amazing. The internet allows those to have there music flourish and fill the minds, hearts, and ears of listeneres world wide.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably. My reason being that my music may go farther allowing for more people to listen.
Band History:
I started some time ago.
Your influences?
My major inspirations have been the works of: Akira Yamaoka (musical composer of all four Silent Hill games), Enigma, Delerium, Dead Can Dance, and other downtempo/dark/ambience artists.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spots so far are: Colombia, Italy, and New York City.
Equipment used:
Mostly computer programs. I have used New Beat Transmission, MTV music generator, and most currently Fruity Loops. I've used other programs as well. I have had some experience using a Synthesizer.
