Akalyte is both a Catholic emcee(studio emcee) and beat maker. His style in beats range from Synth to samples, oldies, classical music etc.. Akalyte first started making music as "demizah" before he became a Catholic. His musical influences were, Wu-tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Bustah Rhymes, Flip-mode Squad. Fat Joe and Terror Squad.. Basically what his different beat styles where modeled after.
Why this name?
God chose it. haha Well DJ Servus from Phatmass.com helped him come up with it and he stuck with it.
Do you play live?
Akalyte doesnt really like to be center stage. Not only because of stage fright but because he believes God is the only Shining star.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier to obtain music..But kind of takes away from the music industry..Many steal music online and that's a problem...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as it doesnt require changing lyrics and abandoning catholicized lyrics.

Most of what Akalyte does now started at Phatmass.com, his online phamily.

Mars Ill, Sammy Blaze, DJ 86, Miko, Zealous, Point 5 Covenant, The Second, The Apologist, Paradox, Father Pontifex and Father Stan, all (Catholic rap artists)
