NEWS   There is a CD-R ready which is likely going to be available here in whole for download. I may add another member for future recordings. I may also pursue getting on a cool noise label, even if it's only CD-R. Who knows, I may publish my own CD.

Shibito is a strange grind-noise-death band conceived and recorded on an island in the middle of a lake in Ohio.
Why this name?
"Midnight. A siren calls and a sea of red water mysteriously surrounds the mountain village of Hanuda. Slowly, a terrible force transforms the inhabitants into shibito, undead husks of their old selves, fueled by evil and hate." www.forbidden-siren.com
Do you play live?
I don't play live though it could happen where ever there is traditional metal equipment, as all music is improv. Likely it would not be an actual gig but perhaps just a jam out for friends.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's convenient for people shopping for specific sounds in obscure areas of music. I also think it opens a floodgate of untrue fans, but I go with the more optimistic angle - I'm happy with the convenience of internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
While my other band has evolved into a strange hybrid of death/black/grind/noise and is essentially not too far off from what Shibito is, I had the desire to have a fresh start where I could let loose and go back to a fresh pallate.
Your influences?
I like fast and abrasive, shrieking music with touches of catchiness for good measure. I'm into an assortment of grindcore, death metal, black metal...
Favorite spot?
Marion, Virginia
Equipment used:
Alesis 414 drum machine, Ibanez guitar, Zoom 505II FX pedal, microphone
Anything else...?
Breakfast: 1 sliced tomato with vinegar
