Why this name?
Kowch? Its like couch. But spelt Kowch. So I guess i'm comfotable to sit on? A relxing seat? I just liked the sound of it.
Do you play live?
I used to play guitar in a few bands. We played live a lot. It was a real good buzz. It had its musical limitations though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3 are one of the most important revolutions in music. Especialy for the artist or band. They are a euphonious teleportation device which enables musicians and artists alike to do whatever, whenever and wherever they want. This site and all of us would not exist without them. What more can I say.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record contract with a major label. But, I often wonder how this would change my musical freedom. I would probably have to read the contract a thousand times before I made MY choice.
Band History:
How long have you got? Basicaly I learned to play guitars, keyboards etc when I was young. I then played in several rock/blues/funk/metal bands. It was good but I found it restricted my musical and song writing ability. This was the birth of Kowch. And I'm still here.
Your influences?
I like so many different types of music. Classical to thrash metal. Live to electronic. It keeps the neighbours on thier toes. Basicaly any sound I hear is important to me whether I like it or not.
Favorite spot?
My favorite place to be is on top of any mountain. FRESH AIR!!!
Equipment used:
I so much stuff it would take a week to list, so here's a few.
Jackson guitars, Fender guitars/bass,Ibanez Guitars/bass, Gibson Guitars, Laney amps, Peavey mics, Yamaha synths/mixers, Zoom FX(various), Korg FX, loads of software for the pc and anything else I can get my hands on.
Anything else...?
