Rap Moves! So with Rap we move. From the middle-east we come, so we try to tell where we`re from! Our people used to mistreatment, and yours used to recieving. But if you think your free then we`ll bring it on, support a NeW GeNeRaTiOn, to know what`s freedom! that's the statement of Rap Movement!
Why this name?
Ali is my name. And since i'm concider myself a Sufi, i concidered it natural to let it reflect on my artist name.
Do you play live?
yeah! mostly at political events.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it makes it easier to reach your audience.. however, at some points, it also makes it more difficult, since it also creates more competition. Artists who didn't have the opportunities to be heard by a larger audience before, now posses those possibilities. And I believe that this can elevate a lot of artists and mature them earlier.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I felt that I could be represented well, SURE! Because the traditional labels are still the major PR-source, NO DOUBT! and they can help to promote you (and your image)!
Your influences?
We`re four Rappers, Ali Sufi , Salahudin , U.G. and M Crown (Iranians)- that are based in Holland and Denmark
We owe most of our inspiration to the freedom fighters, the ones that oppose repressive power, Rappers like 2pac and his Outlawz, Dead Prez, Guru and other revolutionary rappers - plus the skills of rappers like Kurupt and Bone Thugs! and not the least, progressive middle-eastern scholars .
