I started mixing and just playing around with music programs at the age of 12. I have been learning piano since I was 5, and I have been playing drums for 4 years. I have only really been getting serious about my music over the last year. I've been improving my DJ skills, and I have learnt most things about complex music programs such as Cubase. I am gradually building up my studio equipment, and I aim to do some live gigs in the next 12 months.
Why this name?
Its very sad, but I took a look at the periodic table, and put DJ in front of every chemical. The shortlist was Dj Neon, Dj Xenon, and Dj Uranus (the third one went straight away).
Do you play live?
No I have never played live, but I really want to.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is a major disadvantage to bands and the music industry, but I think that there are other aspects to being a famous musician that aren't related to the CD's or the music themselves, like playing live.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes i would, even if it was purely for getting known and playing live, because it has always, and always will be my life long dream.
Your influences?
Me, my keyboard, my decks, my computer, and my brain and inspiration is what it takes for me to create my music. I mainly create Euro-Dance style music, but I try to stretch to other styles like Trance, Techno, sometimes even Chillout or Ambient if I can.
Favorite spot?
In the UK? London. In the world? Ibiza.
Equipment used:
I use a Novation Remote61 Keyboard Controller which is plugged into my laptop, and I use my decks to control the backing track, and I will play as much as I cna live on the keyboards.
