Why this name?
Why does it matter?
Do you play live?
I play wherever I can, Live shows have the most power. Gives me a chance for Criticism.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Nobody wants to buy an album without knowing more than just the song that's on the radio. I feel that legal downloading or listening to mp3 on the internet is a faster way to get music. With illegal downloading, musicians are getting less money and will have less time to create because of working more to live but musicians who make music only for money are pitiful and take advantage of what they have.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Most definitely!
Band History:
Learning that he had a passion for music, Royce started playing piano at age five. At age seven, he could play complete scores. Later in his childhood during middle school, he started to play trumpet for his school band where he progressed quickly and was playing in first chair after a couple months. After learning many instruments, he found that guitar was his favorite. Royce lost most of his teenage years in his room writing songs. His projects have never been successful due to many bandmates who weren't reliable. He played with other bands for the exposure, but played minimal shows. Many bands later, he decided to create his own project and record all of the instruments himself using inadequate recording equipment to create "rough draft" songs for later professional recordings. He started his project in 2001 and has been continuing to follow his dream of success.
Your influences?
From Iggy Pop to Pantera. The Germs to G.G. Allin. Sublime to Slipknot. Not to mention Nirvana to STP, mellow to insane.
Favorite spot?
Denver of course! it gets crazy out there...and home (away from the crazy)
Equipment used:
I love to play whatever I can get my hands on. If it makes a noise, I'm sure I can figure it out
