Founded in early 2002 in Berlin loodpool put up a recording studio in an empty 11-storey-building in Berlin-Hellersdorf were an art-project took place. There we wrote and recorded our first songs reflecting the life in the house and the surroundings. The results can now be downloaded from this page.
Our new album is almost finished. 11 Songs were recorded at Low Swing Studios with engineer Guy Steinberg.
Why this name?
turn it on its head. what does it spell like? (clue: it´s a palindrome)
Do you play live?
We play whenever possible and the venue and audience wants us to play
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
At least you can listen to new music the whole day every day. Sounds good, does it?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Guess we leave the answer up to you. In case you were a major, would you sign guys like us?
Band History:
Founded by Stephan Nico in early 2002 in Berlin-Pankow with Christian Liebig on drums. Peter Kalmar joinded in April or so. Some unspectacular and (very loud) rehearsals were followed by the recording of our first 7 songs in our own studio in Berlin-Hellersdorf.
In 2004 Peter Kalmar left to follow his own musical projects, Marcus Neuenfeldt joined the band on bass. New album due in autumn.
Your influences?
Very different. We agree on any kind of music that transports a certain mood or feeling. Guess 'feeling' is a key-word in our songs and music. But we don´t care if it´s jazz, pop, rock, electronica or anything. Any musical style has its own qualities.
Favorite spot?
We all live in Berlin and like it there (cheap rents, great summers, cool clubs). C yourself.
Equipment used:
All we can get hold of. Especially lots of guitar effects such as Boss, Line 6, Ibanez, Electro Harmonix...
Anything else...?
We would really like to do music for a film or anything visual (could be for a theatre-piece too). If you got an idea, write to us. Ah, and some remixes would be great ...
