I saw Elf Power at the 40 Watt in Athens in 2000, I think, and was CRAZY inspired by it. This is the result. The band name, Dream, Girl seems to be taken...but I bet mine's the only one with a comma in it. Either way. Here are the tunes. Please Enjoy and feel free to e-mail with comments, questions, praise or creative (but positive) criticism.

Peace!
Why this name?
Dream, Girl just came to me as I was on my way out of the 40 Watt in Athens, Ga. NO IDEA why but who am I to argue with the inspiration of such a place...such a CITY!?!?
Do you play live?
I play live when the band has a full roster. Right now, I'm looking to recruit dedicated folks. Until than, solo acoustic stuff and things at the in-home studio.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The net allows you to quickly, and without the hassle of having to be in good with a high-ranking record exec., get your music to the masses. Feedback from and exposure to your peers is the strongest force, I believe, to someone starting out doing what he/she loves doing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure I would. No reason to turn down more money for doing something that I plan on doing anyway. But ONLY if I could do it on MY terms (i.e. R.E.M., Hootie and the Blowfish).
Band History:
Dream, Girl started in 2000 (I think) after the dissolution of another band that I was playing with. People come and people go......dedication wanes.....such is life. Either way, things are going well now and new things will be happening soon.
Your influences?
I really, really am influenced as a whole by R.E.M.. I've also been (on the acoustic end) listening to a lot of Ben Harper lately. I try, though, to not reflect too muchupon my influences in my music.
Favorite spot?
I like it at home..here in Rock Hill, SC. Small but growing town. Just got into a new house with a GREAT deck.....I can see a small gig originating from there in the near future.
Anything else...?
Acoustic Demos here.......polished electric versioins soon...I PROMISE!!
