William Pullar...Acoustic,electric guitar, vocals
Kelvin Gilbert... electric guitar, backing vocals
Samantha Baxter...Bass
Marilyn MacFarlane...Drums, percussion

Associate members

Marilyn completed an SVQ level 3 in Poultry Husbandry in 1998. She works with poultry in Errol.
Samantha Baxter works at an animal science lab in nearby Bridge of Earn.
William Pullar runs a small dry cleaning firm in Perth.
Kelvin Gilbert's CV shows lengthy stays in Lennox Castle, Gogarburn, The Royal Edinburgh and Spinbinnie Hospitals between his musical forays...
Captain W commutes between his home in the dark heart of Southern Scotland and the splendour of St John's Toun.
Fiona Kennedy pops over from Comrie regularly.

A small but committed bunch of fans keep us in beer and whisky at occasional Friday night gigs in Scone.
Why this name?
It was Kelvin's auntie's address in Perth. She had a big old outhouse at the bottom of her huge garden, and when the band first formed, we used to come up and practise here at weekends. When she died Kelvin inherited the house...we all moved in.
Do you play live?
Yes. In the Perth/ Blairgowrie/ Coupar Angus triangle.
Many special moments, Kelvin piercing his cheek with a jews harp at a gig at the Dunkeld Highland Games. Samantha wore a hat with a real goat's head nailed to it at a Perth New Year's gig. Meeting 3 Non Blondes in Kirriemuir after their Aberdeen Gig. Playing the midnight set at a midsummer illegal rave at Falls of Bruar, STUNNING.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It doesnae.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Still got one with Splairgin' Glit. They dont do anything for us really except press up CD's (it used to be cassettes) send them up to us. They do zero promotion, bar send out a few copies to radio stations which cannot play our music. Its run by a couple of old hippies who aren't in it for the money - which is good 'cos neither are we and there isn't any! They are quick though, and dont ask anything of us.
Following our production forays with Captain W, we've returned to our folkier roots for a while. Though he still helps the production side and plays some guitar with us occasionally.
Band History:
Samantha and William are working on it.
Your influences?
Andy Stewart, The Corries, Sparks, The Maggot Farmers, Closing Time and of course The Euphoria Project (our long term pals and occasional production team of Captain W and General S).
Favorite spot?
The Meiklour Beech Hedge at Meiklour (William). The Cleaving Dyke near Kirkton of Lethendy (Marilyn). Perth Abbatoir (Samantha). The bench at the back of the walled rose garden at Spinbinnie Hospital, East Dumbartonshire, Scotland. (Kelvin)
Equipment used:
Guitars, bass, drums and occassional keyboards.
Anything else...?
Hard unforgiving politics. Surreal images. sorrow, joy, confusion, humour. We mean everything and don't mean anything.
