Private Asylum Started out in 1981 in Whittier California,as "My Secret Life".

Why this name?

I have felt for many years that I had been locked inside myself. In an Asylum of sorts. Being able to let others in but not being able to let my own emmotions out. Finally using music as the channel that the emmotions of Love, Hate, Fear and Agression that had been locked away inside me for so long, as a way to let them out.

Do you play live?

I have not played live yet. Well not in front of an audience. My music is still very personal, and I keep it close to me and other musicians who are close to me.

If you make it big..?

If I make it big. I would like to think that nothing would change, but one thing is for sire, I would be able to afford the equipment I need to make even better music. Righ tnow I am limited by my cashflow only.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The music industry thinks it will control the internet as it controls radio. In reality, the consumer has more power over who they and what "they" choose to listen to than ever before.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would love to. I only hope though id that day came, that the majpr labels would finally understand that the internet has changed the way the artist and the listener communicate.

Band History:

Private Asylum Started out in 1981 in Whittier California,as "My Secret Life". Dino, Alex, Sheela and I (julian) made up a very upbeat sound back then. It was comparable with Electronic music of today. The only problems we had were not believing in ourselves enough to go for it.

Kraftwerks, New Order, Pat metheny, King Crimson,Tones On Tails, Visage, New Order, Yello, Ultravox.

Favorite spot?

Wherever my family is.

I love Music. It is the only thing that has stayed with me for the last 32 years.
