Bam Bam DaVinci is an arbitrary name for some of my songs which i felt shouldn't be titled. My real name is Brian, but if you get to know me as Bam Bam that's cool too.
Other names i got are Xeronaut, Jenova6 and Jenova7, vov sbraxas, bunch of other names i can't remember at the moment...
I attatch the name Bam Bam Davinci to the grungy stuff i made since 2003. the bam bam saga begins when i lived above the apollo. the first album pretty intoxicated and blurry, so is the second album, but in the middle of the second album i relocated. the third album is an accoustic album, i've been recording lots of flashy stuff by this time, and it was forever since i recorded something organic.
i'm working on the forth album right now.

Why this name?
Bam Bam from the flintstones because it's innocent and simpleminded, and Davinci, because it's a legendary geniuses name.
Do you play live?
yeah i play live, used to do it a shitload more often than i presently do. a special moment was winning a band wars, i didn't expect to win, nor was i trying to. but i won studio time and a lot of money. i bought a computer with my money and partied 200 bucks away...
the studio time was given to someone else because of my procrastination and not keeping in touch with the people who were in charge with the prize.
my only opinion to the subject is that it sucks, but i make albums on my own all the time and overall don't regret not having a nice packaged studio album where i had to reduce my percentage of creative input.
but yeah i like playing live.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it's really hard to say, for mainstream artists it tends to work out in a negative way, they spend lots of money trying to perfect these monumental ideas of modern pop or packaging or whatever's most important to them...
i myself, am in a situation where i'm always changing, in the begining of the year, i have this fresh sound, later on in the year, i'm almost unrecogizable, or at least have changed a lot...
it takes a lot of time to release music, and for me the feeling could be lost completely by the time there's a finished album or whatever...
but i do end up wanting to release albums i'm just not sure how i'm going to do it at the moment, i have a few slick ideas though...
for the time being, i just want to release tons of music on the internet for free for people to enjoy without the superfiscial jargon about image and all that crap...
and when i do release an album, it might be on the internet for free too, but i'd advise people to buy it because their money would either go to further productions or food for my starving artist belly.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yeah probably, given the option of eventually dropping that label and funding my own where i can release music of myself and my friends...

Your influences?
Who or what are your musical influences?
This is great to give people an idea of what to expect. Are you more into crashing guitars or motown r&b? (It's also great to drop keywords for search engines.)
pfft... people are always searching for categories.

i'm working on the fifth bam bam album these days...
i have things to say, whether or not they are important, are subjective to other people.
i also might set up a couple accounts with soundclick, so keep some peeled eyes for that.
