One of Nashville's noted underground producers, Kevin Wicker takes Blue-Eyed Soul to a new and different level; his own.
Kevin Wicker has shared the stage and studio with some of Nashville's most successful artists, writers and producers -- such as SHELBY LYNNE, DOLLY PARTON, JACK CLEMENT (U2, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley), GARY S. PAXTON, and many others.
Currently, he owns and operates his own production company and recording studio -- PROGRESS MUSIC NASHVILLE -- as he continues to write and perform in the Nashville area.
Your influences?
"My musical influences are vast. I was brought up around Gospel, Country, and Classical. At an early age, I was into Jim Reeves, and the Blackwood Brothers. Elvis was another one. I stayed on top of the radio, and in the 70's, it was hard to place a finger on who you liked the best -- because there were so many.
Todd Rundgren and his band Utopia was another major influence. Steely Dan, Grateful Dead, EarthWindandFire.....
Favorite spot?
A favorite spot in my favorite city is on top of Nashville's Mid-Town Plaza (where my office used to be)-- overlooking the city. It also has a terrific view of Music Row. You can see down all the streets, because it is centrally located in the heart of Nashville.
