Lots of fun...having a great time.
We are a largely instrumental duo. We like to make use of occasional electronic key boards and the odd sample but we are effectively an unplugged live band. For more info look at: www.myspace.com/whateverscleveruk
Why this name?
Pat and Steve were on holiday in the US and the phrase 'whatevers clever' was used by someone on a visit to Universal studios. It stuck! We believe there may be a us band with a similar name if so...no problem sure we can sort it all out!
Do you play live?
We have been playing gigs across the UK for some time ranging from great traditional small pubs through to open air festival type gigs. Best moment was playing to 1,000 + kids who had been listening to bad grunge music all day!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a great method for sharing songs and taking music forward.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course we would!
Band History:
We have been together for about 4 years now and have a good stock of original music.
Your influences?
Wide wide wide. From bouncy loud stuff through to the stunning Kate Rusby (UK folk goddess).
Favorite spot?
St Albans. Old and fun and close to London. The beach in Florida.
Equipment used:
Guitars are ovation celebrity, Line 6, fender strat, gibson les paul, crafter semi. Yamaha PA.
