I am a solo artist. Most of my material is instrumental, except for collaborations. However, I think I'm going to buy a microphone and take a shot at the singing thing.

My style varies greatly, depending on my mood and inspiration at the time.
Why this name?
Phosphoros (or Heosphoros) was the Greek god of the Morning Star, Venus; called so because of its heliacal rising, heralding the coming of the dawn. The word literaly means bringer of light (phos=light, phoro[phorou, phero]=bringer of). Ironically there is much dark imagery surrounding this concept, especially its Latin derivative, Lucifer. This dark imagery, however, can serve to cause introspection and self reflection, which is what the creative process of music really is to me. So, though my music may at times have dark themes and soundscapes, its intention is to liberate me as an artist, as well as to stir the inner, emotive responses of the listener.
Do you play live?
No. I am a solo artist (with the exception of an occasional collaboration,) and therefore do not have the resources to coordinate a suitable live perfomance. I would not completely rule out the eventual possibility though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the accessibility of music through the internet is an invaluable resource for both artists and enthusiasts.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
While this is not something I'm striving toward, I would certainly consider the option should it become available.
Band History:
There's not really much of a history to speak of. I've been a musician and music enthusiast most of my life. I've created music sporadically for a long time, and for about the past year have started taking my hobby a little more seriously. At this time, though, it is still just a hobby.

Favorite spot?
Hmm...difficult to say. I haven't travelled outside of North America, so my point of view is rather limited. I live in the Great Lakes region of the US Midwest and enjoy it largely for its pronounced season changes. I also enjoy Colorado very much; especially the stretch between Denver and Colorado Springs.
