No style. Generic Man represents the art of versatility in electronic music. From chopped and formed breaks to the grimiest of underground hip hop, Generic avoids classification to one set musical style. Morphing and adapting to the chaos... this is modern electro for ultramen and ultrawomen.
Why this name?
No style.
Do you play live?
Representing the Philly-based Seclusiasis crew in 2005, Generic Man uses a strong laptop and Chinese-made hardware to conduct strange, forbidden sonic experiments in DJ'ing, live PA, and production.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It keeps rolling along... STEAL MY MUSIC!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes: if the beans all counted up proper.
Band History:
It all started in 1995 with a Roberts reel-to-reel and a dream.
Favorite spot?
The Atlantic City Inn of the Dove hot tub.
Equipment used:
That's a trade secret... However, I can tell you that I sold my Akai MPC2000XL Studio Plus and burnt the money for good karma.
Anything else...?
