I am a classical piano player...wait dont leave! Here is what i do: i take the music i love (indie rock), and arrange it for two pianos. My professor on one, and myself on the other. Artists arranged thus far: Bjork, Mum, Muse, Explosions in the Sky, Ratatat, Scissor Sisters, A Silver Mount Zion, The Polyphonic Spree, Arcade Fire, Menomena, M83, Field Music. More will come soon.
Why this name?
My roommate suggested it. We wanted to somehow combine bad-ass and adaptation...so this kind of worked.
Do you play live?
I have played two recitals thus far. Both went really well. A third recital is in the works for the end of 2007, maybe the beginning of 2008.
Band History:
The first recital consisted of Kurt Jordan and Dr. Robert Sage. With the second recital, my friend Jordan arranged some music for a string quartet. The upcoming third recital will see the addition of two more Badaptations members...Kyle Kilpatrick (piano) and Krista (piano). So the band is constantly changing and incorporating new members and other people's talents.
