Perfect Planet is Daniel Flower, a 19 year old electronic music producer currently living in London.
His main style is melodic and euphoric trance, but he also produces house, electro, and chill-out amongst others. All his songs share one philosophy - "to make great music that is innovative, that stirs emotion, and communicates feeling." Dan creates his music with only FL Studio and a few free software synths, proving that you don't need a £10,000 studio to create a good sound.
Daniel began experimenting with music at the age of around 5 or 6 when he had a keyboard as a Christmas present from his parents.
"I immediately fell in love with it and began taking lessons right away. I discovered I had a natural talent; an ear for music. The first thing I learnt to play properly was the New World Symphony."
"In the late 90s and early 00s I discovered dance music, and was inspired to start producing. I started off on the simple eJay music programs, and as I grew out of them I gradually progressed to FL Studio which I still use today."
"My main love is of music that stirs emotions, and I take my influences from artists from all corners of the music spectrum - Underground trance artists such as Jonas Steur, Above & Beyond, and Lange, more commercial acts such as Ian Van Dahl, N Trance, and 4 Strings, house artists such as Bedrock, Eric Prydz, Black Rock, and Roger Sanchez, as well as other dance acts like Moby and indie artists such as Doves, U2, and Feeder."
"Over the years I have received some very positive and encouraging feedback from various people, including labels, and feel that since last releasing anything I have evolved a lot as an artist. I am very excited by the future."

Why this name?
Perfect Planet is a play on irony given the world we live in, and I feel that music helps you escape it.
Do you play live?
Not at the moment.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It enables smaller artists to release music to a much wider audience than was previously possible, and allows fans to discover new artists that they wouldn't of otherwise found. It is a great medium for exposure, distribution, and collaboration.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes for sure.
Your influences?
Jonas Steur, Above & Beyond, Lange, Ian Van Dahl, Darren Tate / Jurgen Vries, 4 Strings, Divine Inspiration, PUSH / M.I.K.E., Kontakt, Endre, N Trance, Moby, Bedrock, Black Rock, Roger Sanchez, Doves, U2

I love the buzz of the city, but also isolated places. Both are inspirational.
