Two guys from the wrong side of the tracks with heart to spare, and two guys with talent out out the ying-yang adds up to four guys from a coalmining town that have nothing to do with this band.
Why this name?
Why? I was tired of people saying, "Hey, this unnamed band is quite spectacular! Would that they had a name, I could spread the word of their awesomeness across the land!" Now they can say, "Hey, that's 15-16 puzzle! Turn that off."
Do you play live?
I don't play live. I do this many different places, for example: I don't play live in my living room, and also at the local grocery store.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Without the internet, you wouldn't be able to read about this band.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Still? I learned my lesson after the first 3 times.
Band History:
This band started when I was born, which was exactly one year to the day before my first birthday. (Strange, but true.) I made up my first song when I was 4 years old: it was a song that I used to sing myself to sleep. It involved a clapping break, which oddly enough is now #1 on my list of things that keep me awake. Someone showed me how to play the guitar along the way, which I continue to do as I sing songs. Nowadays, my clapping is kept to a minimum, much to the dismay of sleepy four-year-olds everywhere.
Your influences?
It's lo-fi (ughgh) hooky pop music played by dropouts from Vaudeville Punk Rock High, most of the time.
