NEWS
(Mar.1/05)- So i promised myself that i would never let it go this long between updates, but no one really reads this thing anyway and its hard to write an update for a band that is doing about as much as a turtle with no legs. Screwed over by a shitty drummer/produecer and here we sit wondering what the hell is going to happen. Well in our future i see, for myself anyway, a guest spot on Adam Cherry's(ex-Pulse singer) upcoming solo disc, and a most likley a song with RuinorPeace(Jordan from Pulse's new band, they kick some serious ass!), other then that its looking kind of bleak. So anyone who knows a drummer looking for a job let me know. That'll be all for now.(wp)
(Nov.15/04)- It's been a long while since i've actually updated this thing(i promised myself that i wouldn't let that happen), i figured no one probably even reads this anyway so why update it, but its time. So no new songs up yet, various things have stalled the recording process a bit, but we do have 'Trusting Hate' nearly finished and it will be up soon. Serious talks about shows as Pulse begins its wind up to getting back upon the stage, hopefully we can get out there soon and when we do i will update the tour section, till then, peace!(wp)
(Sep.29/04)- So two more songs up on the site now. Four down four more to go, one can be downloaded one can't, but obviously we can't give out all of them. Talks are in the works about playing a show soon. No clue when or where but we have some people in mind who we'd like to ask to come and play. Keep checking the site for more updates, of course no one reads this thing so im just updating it to amuse myself and kill time at work.(wp)
(Sep.25/04)- Aighit Blah! Another song finished another song up. This time "Permafrost", re-recorded. Went into the studio again last night and pretty much laid down "Rise Of The Mighty Hale", going into finish it up on sunday and we will most likely start laying down "Mudjack" as well. goodtimes, be back in a bit.(wp)
(Sep.15/04)- New song is up, well not exactly new but it does sound different, 'Pinch Point' is up and out of our hands. I doubt if it will hae anything else done to it before the album is finished so enjoy, the 1st of three(possibly four)songs we will put up from the sessions.(wp)
(Sep.14/04)- Been awhile since i dropped a line in here(again, who realy reads this anyway?). Back in the studio this past sunday, got a good chunk of 'Pinch Point' done, its sounding pretty good, taking our time with this album so everything turns out just the way we want it. Going back in tomorrow night, as well as this coming Sunday. Putting in tonnes of hours on it. We decided not to put the song up on the site till it is complete, so hopefully it will be up come thursday morning but if not then it will be up Monday morning for sure. check back later.(wp)
(Aug.23/04)- Well we have officially started recording our first album 'Black Laser Of Evil'. We went into the studio last night and cut a rough mix of Eehmswcyt so we could post it today, it's posted! Needs to be worked out a bit more with the mix, like guitar and bass up and drums down a bit, as well as some other add-ons. Junior? gets back this sunday so he will step into the recording sessions as well then, for now i'm the one playing the bass. Enjoy, and if you like the sound we'll have the contact info for our drummer, Andre Christian, who is producing the album in his kick ass little studio, that stuff will be up soon when i get his info from him.(wp)
(Aug.17/04)-Yeah bizatches! Summerslam kicked some serious ass, saw it live 45 feet from the ring, crazy fans, what a show. Jammed this past weekend worked more stuff out with Junior?, there is talk of us recording two eps very soon, the first one could be recorded in the next two weeks. Will be sure to post at least three maybe four songs from it when it's done.(wp)
[Aug.13/04]Oooohhh, its friday the 13th am i scared? Are you? Where are we? WHy do i keep updating the news knowing no one is ever going to read them anyway? A few of life's unanswered questions, like another one for instance, how come we're having such a hard f***ing time finding a drummer? Jamming more these days some a couple new tunes written, one acoustic one electric and heavy. Yet no permanent drummer, damn anybody, anybody, who am i kidding, no one reads this sh*** anyway.(wp)
[Aug.3/04]- So a good civic weekend had by all i hope. Not alot of news here, still searching for a drummer, come one come all, had a couple of conversations but no "auditions". But i noticed a few people have listened to the songs we have up, more will be up soon so keep checkin, and thank you very much if you still are. The camaronation is coming and soon will be upon us. August 19th,2005- So, not a whole lot to say here. Well what i have to say is big pertaining to the band, we've had a name change. From Grey Matter was too close to another band from Cambridge, Dark Matter, so the name has been changeed to A Taste Of Atrocity. Im starting a page on soundclick no, just so i can do the updates there instead of here. SO this'll be the last message on this site, until about a month before i take it down. SO yeah, check us out at the "A Taste Of Atrocity" site. wear pants!
Why this name?
Before i was in the band the origional line up was trying to think of a name, and i do believe the drummer at that time, Josh, said 'Camaro' they all liked it and it stuck.
Do you play live?
Due to an endless change of drummers we still have not been able to play our first show. I have played live in other bands and so have the other memebers and there's nothing else on earth like it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It opens the door for so many bands that wouldn't nessacarily get exposure, to get that exposure. More label people are looking towards the internet for up and coming bands because most radio and video stations are too interested in catoring to the masses.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, distribution is distribution and if we can get our sound to as many people as possible without having to contradict our ideals or conform to any set standard we'd have no problem signing with a major label. If you want to make music for a living you have to make a living.
Band History:
Many years ago, three to be exact, in a far away land, there were three musicians who wanted to make music that was not heard all the time. These three souls were, Keith, Terrence and Josh, mysterious forces led them to each other and they decided to start a band. They found a lead singer, but he wasn't exactly what they were looking for, they remained a jam band for the next year, during this time the lead singer parted ways and they needed to find a vocalist. Keith was a sound and lighting tech for a band called Eye Rhyme, the drummer for that band, Jimmy Porter, had a friend he worked with that he had jammed with on one occasion and knew that this friend was looking for a band to sing for. So at an Eye Rhyme show at Whiskey Jack's in Kitchener, Jimmy introduced Jim to Keith and they decided to give it a try. Not too long after Jim jammed with Camaro, and they decided it was a fit. From that point on Camaro was no longer a jam band they had a direction and they were serious. Eventually Josh and Camaro decided an amiacble split would be best for the band, thus begining what has been a near two year hunt for a solid replacement. THen ten months ago
Terrence decided it was time to move back to his hometown and Camaro was left with another, and it's biggest hole. After trying one bass player who didn't seem to work out, Jim decided to ask his old bandmate from his first and second bands, 'Downwynd' and 'Prodd'. Junior was a guitarist in those bands but decided he would be cool with playing bass. So now we have once agian three pillars in our band, now we look for the fourth and final. Junior is working out great and the future looks very bright.

Anything else...?
Just a quick plugging shout to a few bands that we have made alliances (of one form or another) with so far, Pulse (www.pulseinvasion.com), Disgust (www.disgustmusic.com), Tugnut (www.tugnutmusic.com), Single Threat (www.singlethreat.com). These bands all play different takes on metal and we encourage anyone to go to these websites and give these bands a serious listen. You could almost call this our link section, without the links.
