If you like The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order and U2 you'll love Thoughts at an End. With a mixture of Rock, Electronical and classical music, Thoughts at an End is breaking new ground in the music scene. This band has no format, no limitations. The lead singer has a strong savvy voice similar to Depeche Mode with lyrics inspired by The Cure. The music is a good mix of everything from dark and heavy sounding like early Cure to the stomp your feet and clap your hands Elcetronic buzz with genuis yet sarcastic lyrics that will leave you with a smile on your face. This band has everything and pays tribute to old school 80's alternative. It's raw, it's real, and it's ready to revolutionalize. Check it out at www.thoughtsatanend.com
Why this name?
Thoughts at an End was a name of a song my band, Payle, played years ago.
Do you play live?
Sometimes. I love to play live but I am a solo artist and I don't have a band so it makes it much more difficult to play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is a great promotional tool for starting artists like myself to use to reach millions.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. I have nothing against record companies. Everyone beats up on them all the time. People don't realize that every year they takes risks with bands who produce nothing for them. If the atrists themselves would just learn to be more reliable there wouldn't be so many loop holes for us starting artists to jump through.
Band History:
I had a Grunge Rock band in High School called Payle. After High School everyone went their seperate ways except me. I kept writing music. I went to college to learn how to read and write music and found a great appreciation for classical and electronical music. I got into the Gothic/ Industrial scene and all Hell broke loose. My music is a mixture of rock, electronical and classical. It's a strange mix but I work it well.
Your influences?
My favorite band is The Cure. I also like Depeche Mode, New Order, U2, Smashing Pumpkins, The Doors, David Bowie, Sarah McLachlan, Troi Amos and so on and so on.
Favorite spot?
Give me a carton of cigarettes and a pot of coffee in my studio and I'm the happiest person.
