I started doing this about a year and a half ago with FL Studio, still gettin' better at it as days go by. Sometimes i'll get bored with hip-hop and i'll mix techno with it and release it on here.

Why this name?

I dunno, i just guessed the name. 51st just sounds cool to me.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Independent artists, producers, whoever benefit from it. The people who have made it big in the record labels well... it dont really affect the artist, just the greedy record labels.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I dunno about that, i'm not a rapper. I don't really even consider myself as a producer yet.

Your influences?

It's gotta be Havoc from Mobb Deep. I really like his production style. I also like Dr. Dre from way back in his dayz with NWA and Death Row. Them beats were off the hook. Althought I like em, I prolly wont copy their styles, Havoc's beats are hot right now. The Game has one of his beats on track 7 of his new cd and of course, Jadakiss's famous Why? is also a Havoc produced beat.

Favorite spot?

It's gotta be Detroit.
