DayDream is a greek hiphop band playing alternative and progressive hiphop (having rock and metal elements as well). We mostly have greek lyrics and use real instruments in many of our songs...Hope you like us...
Why this name?
Being a realist doesn't mean you can't be a Daydreamer...We know the corruption of our times, we see it and we feel it but that doesn't steal our hope for a change...for an alteration in humankind and the created society...
Do you play live?
We play live in Greece in bars and clubs. Yes, the live is a different experience and much more difficult...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We think that mp3 and the internet is a tool that when used correctly will help the music industry grow...It's one of the fastest, easiest and most reliable ways to make the music a band or a person creates to the public...If only the music industry could fully understand the capabilities of the internet...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes we would because we would like our music and mostly our words to be heard...
Your influences?
FFC, TXC, Deadlock, Non Phixion, Jedi Mind Tricks, Active Member, Savatage, Dream Theater, Bond, Beethoven are some less or more powerful influences...As previously stated, we play progressive/alternative hiphop even though we have many ballads and easy-listening songs.
