A singer songwriter who is surprisingly not from his time. I must admitt, I've been quite taken with his lyrical ability to reach everyone from any walk of life, he is constantly reminding us that there are still songwriters out there that can move your emomtions in so many different places, that you can barely explain what is happening to you and that "we are all just actors, who forget our lines sometimes" is just another one of his many clever dittys. With choruses that would make Osama Bin Laden come out of hiding, and sing along, his well of catchy hooks and bridges look as if it will run dry any time soon. Getting over his shyness and fear of showing his God Given talent for melody & lyric wasn't easy for him, but you sort of get the sense that still has fully come to realize how gifted he is, hope he finds out before I die.
Why this name?
My Mother gave it to me at birth.
Do you play live?
I love to play live, I've not done many big gigs, accept for one, The Festive Earth Day Festival in Toronto, it was GREAT, it was outdoors, and had huge stage for the artists, we got to close the show with few ballads, it was fantastic for me...... for the audience?, I'm sure the memory will last a LUNCH TIME
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
"It's for the people, believe it or not, there are some people out there that do not have the money or time to go out and buy a cd, so now the people who are responsible for making it seem paying $30 for F***in Treble Charger Cd is a normal thing" can jump in a lake.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends, I don't look good in tight leather pants, and I don't eat right and excercise so I can look pin upish for a bunch of 14 yr old girls, nothing against 14 yr old girls, I once was one myself (Joke) but as long as the Record Company knows that I am my own product, and so is my music, that's why I like Indie, it's a an atmosphere where writing your own songs is not almost extinct like in Britany, and Christina world.
Band History:
Born and raised in Toronto Canada, Danny Noronha was as quiet, as the quiet ones usually are. His knack for having paranormal- like memory for lyrics and every single note of the songs that he liked as child were that of no normal child. Growing up in a family where the sound of the Beatles could be heard almost constantly coming through his Uncle's bedroom door and the halls of his Grandmother's middleclass Toronto home, at 8 yrs old Danny could humm note for note his favourite Beatles classics like..."And I love Her, and "If I Fell" After a teenage love affair with cutting school, hangin on the corner, crime, drinking, and drugs. Danny finally picked up a guitar and began to play at an advanced pace. He says it came quite easily to him, when he had it in his hands he could just make sense of it. Simply put by a man who 6 mths after picking up a guitar for the 1st time was in the studio recording an excellent song he wrote performed and recorded by himself. With the 1st, 2 chords he learned, he began putting the music that seemed like endless overflow of melodies and lyrics in the pit of his subconscious on to tape writing and recording his 1st song "Standing Small" which was an immediate favorite with a small circulation of people as much as it was a surprise. "Standing Small" started to fall into the hands of people Danny did not even know, each person recording it and giving it back to the person they borrowed it from. Among a small but anxious circle of people, anxious to hear whatelese he had in his arsenal, or was he just lucky with head scratching lines like "I am just an actor who forgot his lines?" 3 months later, he answered the question with "Just The Way You Thought," "Open," "Overcoat," Same Old, Same Old," I don't mind," and many more. Heeding the advice of nearly anyone who heard his music, he decided that he was comfortable just writing songs to entertain himself. He then recorded what I think his best ballad yet, "Broken Mirror" with "Canadian Idol" musical producer and Open Mike with Mike Bullard bandleader Orinn Isaacs who says that "Danny has got some real traits of a songwriter who may just get his success on his terms." "Broken Mirror" is lovely ballad reminding us that we should not get so high up on ourselves because sometimes we all like to see ourselves as something we are not.
Very intelligent and pleasant young man, I really dig his stuff.

Your influences?
I don't have many, believe it or not, actually just the Beatles, and Oasis because they remind me of the Beatles. Beatles were very present in my family, it was just about playing round the clock in my house, and I found them so interesting to listen to, not only the great musicians they were, but they were damn good singers, it's funny, they have received the most credit and recognition of any band in the history of music, yet individually, George Harrison was hardly ever recognized as being the one of the best guitar players in the world, and McCartney was never sought after by any Bass Player Magazines as a feature. I do love and admire Noel Gallagher, I think he's a geunius and never gets credit in North America because he's cocky and he backs it up
